Inesol are currently developing a Workflow server product based around Biztalk and Sharepoint Team Services for the Pensions Industry. The Integra Server offers a website to members and uses Biztalk to route messages from that web interface through business processes, finance, admin teams and document management. Inesol has over 10 years experience analysing and automating business processes on a number of different platforms for the Financial Services industry, including (most recently) BizTalk. Very simply Biztalk accepts messages from a number of network sources, processes (or transforms) them according to a ruleset, and then passes the processed message onto a new location. However the fact that the rulesets can be defined externally by business managers not programmers, and the fact that it is optimised to support standard formatted data over the internet makes it incredibly useful in today's automated business processes. Inesol have developed a system for AXA using Biztalk, that connects insurance brokers and websites directly to a insurance underwriting calcs engine, new business mainframe and centralised internet print server. It allows for automated "straight through processing" with seperately configurable workflow, at a fraction of the anual cost of maintaining their own internal system.
